New name and owners for village shop

A message from Vanessa and Dave, new shop owners to be:

We are delighted that on Monday 20th July we will be taking over from Roger and Wendy at Central Stores, which from then on will be called Levens Village Shop. We are extremely excited by the opportunity to join such a great village community and to develop this essential village facility. We have plenty of ideas of what we would like to do and we look forward to meeting you all and getting to know everybody!

About us - we've been looking to move to Levens for some time and have viewed several properties in the village. The opportunity to make a lifestyle change and run the shop was too good to miss! Vanessa will be your main shop contact. She currently lives in Milnthorpe, is Office Manager at Greenlands Farm Village and her two teenage children attend Dallam School.

Dave currently lives in Cockermouth, is a property surveyor for Lloyds Bank and has two sons in their 20's. Oh, and we have a laid-back, fell-walking golden retriever called Tess!
